Quantum Computers. The name sounds scary, but they really only are a fancy way of flipping coins.

Classic computers work with 1s and 0s. Heads or tails. We move and turn these coins to do calculations.

Quantum computers…

But before we get to that… let’s talk processing. I’ve been using the Arduino as the brains for my projects for a while now. It’s gotten a bit…boring (not really, but it is time to move on!) What’s the next natural step after spending over a month tinkering with an…

This blog post will contain minor projects in Motion so as not to spam up my RSS feed. Actually can this be an RSS feed? Do those still even exist?

Walking Animation

Please enjoy my walking animation! Not much to say about this one, just a very basic…ahem…walking? Animation.

Used keyframes and rigging in After Effects. Took about an hour or so. Not really sure what it’s inspired by but it is…something.

More to come!

LED pong with built-in cheat codes!

After finishing up constellations and logic probes, our next stop on the Object journey was to work with our microcontroller of choice for this class- the Arduino Nano 33 IoT. This version comes pre-soldered so prototyping with breadboards was a breeze. And well, that’s exactly what we did.

Our first…

For my Motion course, I was tasked with making a Kinetic typography animation. This involves matching text animations cleverly and intentfully to an audio. …

First off- obligatory explanation of what the heck a threadboard is. If you haven’t seen my other post, our TA Chris Hill for this course co-created this concept!

In essence, its a debugging tool for e-textiles. Its a specific layout of magnets inset in acryllic that allows for rapid prototyping…

So, I’m in a few design classes this semester. In addition to my Object exploits, I’m also in a Motion (read animation) class. Our first assignment was to create a simple animation for our logo/brand in After Effects, but I may have gone a bit overboard here.

I won’t…

This year I’m taking some cool courses as part of my Creative Technology & Design major at CU Boulder. One of these classes is ATLS 3300 — Object. Object is a class where we learn and use microcontrollers and basic electronics, to build really cool things. …

Hello! Welcome to my post about a short game I made for a Design class. This game was ideated and created in the span of 2–3 days. Here was my process.

Ideation

For ideation, we were required to use a website to generate our ideas. Technically, we were only supposed…
